WWE Capitol Punishment Results: Randy Orton Retains World Championship

Despite the announcer's best efforts to insist that the fans despised him, Christian received quite a generous reaction for a heel.
Orton and Christian exchanged offensive maneuvers early.  Orton slowly took over the match as he went to work on Christian on the outside.
Christian got back into the driver's seat and slowed things down with a chinlock attempt before the action picked back up.
Orton countered a spear attempt in the corner with a schoolboy attempt for a nearfall.
Christian went to work on Orton's head as the recently concussed Orton's head trauma became a story of the match.
As Orton tried to get back into the match, he seemed dazed and confused as Booker T insisted that Randy Orton was not himself.  Orton fought out of an inverted  DDT and continued to battle through his head trauma.
Orton scored with a super plex as he continued to favor the back of his head.  Orton's next high impact move was a unique neckbreaker from out o a "dominator" position.
Christian slipped away to the outside and, when he returned to the ring, he connected on a suspension DDT.  An RKO was countered with an inverted DDT by Christian.
Christian countered another RKO and followed up with a spear for a nearfall.  Christian went to attack Orton in the corner, however Orton dodged him and followed up with an RKO.  Christian's foot was underneath the ropes, but the referee counted three anyways as Orton won.
The announcers ignored the fact that Christian's foot was underneath the ropes, however Christian took matters into his own hands as he pleaded his case to the referee.  Orton struck Christian with the World Championship as he resumed his celebration.
After seeing the replay, Michael Cole realized that the food was underneath the rope and screamed about how Christian had a case.
